A creamy cocktail with caramel sauce drizzled on the inside of the glass.

A boozy Salted Caramel Cocktail made with caramel sauce, vodka, Baileys Irish Cream, milk and a pinch of salt.

This rich and decadent cocktail doesn't need any special equipment and takes just 2 minutes to make!

A glass of salted caramel cocktail in front of a jar of caramel sauce.

This easy salted caramel vodka cocktail is creamy, sweet and, like my Toblerone cocktail, is a dessert in a glass!

With its perfect balance of sweet and salty, if you are a fan of salted caramel recipes, you will LOVE this cocktail!

Using Salted Caramel Baileys as well as caramel sauce, it is one of the easiest Baileys recipes to make and, like my Baileys self-saucing pudding, Baileys truffles and Baileys chocolate cheesecake, this vodka Baileys cocktail is a must-make for any Baileys fan!

    • Conventional and Thermomix - both methods are written in the recipe card at the end of the post.

    What You Need

This salted caramel cocktail recipe is made with just 5 ingredients!

Note: Scroll to the recipe card at the bottom for the ingredients quantities and full detailed method.

The ingredients needed to make the cocktail.
    • Caramel sauce - for this recipe it's best to use a caramel sauce or dulce de leche that is slightly runny. You can also make your own salted caramel sauce (just omit the pinch of salt).
    • Salted Caramel Baileys - or you can use regular Baileys, your favourite Irish cream liqueur or even make your own Baileys.
    • Vodka - you can use any brand of vodka you prefer.
    • Milk - I recommend using full fat milk in this cocktail recipe for its creaminess.
    • Salt - omit the salt if using a salted caramel sauce.

    Equipment Required

You don't need any special equipment to make these Baileys vodka cocktails! Just a blender, Thermomix or cocktail shaker and 2 glasses!

    Expert Tips

    • If your caramel sauce is too thick - simply place it in the microwave for a few seconds and then allow it to cool slightly.
    • If you're using a salted caramel sauce - omit the extra pinch of salt.
    • For an extra caramel flavour - use Salted Caramel Baileys Irish Cream.
    • If you don't have a blender or Thermomix - you can use a cocktail shaker instead.
    • Serve this salted caramel cocktail immediately after making.

    FAQs

Can I use regular Baileys Irish cream?

Sure, just keep in mind that your cocktail won't have quite as strong a caramel flavour as using Salted Caramel Baileys Irish Cream.

    Can I double this recipe?

Absolutely! If you are making this cocktail for a party, you can easily double or triple the recipe!

Should Baileys be refrigerated after opening?

No, Baileys doesn't need to be kept in the refrigerator after opening.
