    Let's get cocktail making...!

    What Is A Pornstar Martini?

A Pornstar martini is a passionfruit flavoured martini made with vanilla vodka, passionfruit liqueur (like Passoa), passionfruit puree, simple syrup and lime juice.

It's served with a shot glass of very chilled prosecco or champagne on the side.

How do you drink a pornstar martini?

Simply prepare the passionfruit cocktail and pour into a martini glass.

Decorate with a halved passionfruit floating (cut side up) in the glass.

You can then either drink the shot glass of prosecco before enjoying the cocktail or you can pour the prosecco into the martini glass and enjoy with the cocktail.

The ingredients for a passionfruit pornstar martini.
    • Vanilla vodka - this vanilla flavoured vodka is perfect for pornstar martinis! Available in many different brands.
    • Passionfruit liqueur - you can use any brand of passionfruit liqueur you like. The most common brand is Passoa.
    • Passionfruit puree - you can use either a tin of passionfruit puree or fresh passfruits.
    • Lime juice - fresh limes are definitely best in terms of flavour... but bottled will work ok too.

    FAQ

Why is it called a pornstar martini?

The pornstar martini was actually originally called the Maverick Martini!
It was created by Douglas Ankrah in 1999.
He eventually decided that the original name wasn't the right fit and renamed it a 'pornstar martini' as he thought it was a drink that a pornstar would drink!

Is a pornstar martini the same as a pawn star martini?

Yes, it is! At times, the spelling has become confused - but they are both the same passionfruit martini recipe.

What kind of passionfruit liqueur should I use?

Any brand of passionfruit liqueur is fine to use. Passoa is the most common brand of passionfruit liqueur.

Can I make a pornstar martini using a Thermomix?

Absolutely! I've included conventional (cocktail shaker) and Thermomix methods in the recipe card below!
