Easter Cocktail Ingredients

Baileys and vodka are classic liquor cabinet staples, making this cocktail incredibly easy to whip up whenever the craving for something indulgent strikes.
Note: Scroll to the recipe card at the bottom for the ingredients quantities and full detailed method.
- Nutella - adds the rich chocolate hazelnut flavour that makes this cocktail extra indulgent. Any hazelnut spread will work if you prefer.
- Baileys Irish Cream - gives the cocktail its creamy, boozy sweetness. Any Irish cream liqueur can be used. You can even make your own homemade Baileys!
- Mini chocolate Easter eggs - these sit at the bottom of the glass and slowly melt into the drink. Any small solid chocolate eggs work perfectly.
Variations
- Mocha Easter Cocktail - Add 1 teaspoon of instant espresso powder or a shot of espresso, or swap Baileys for Kahlua for a chocolate coffee twist.
- Salted Caramel Version - Swap Nutella for salted caramel sauce for a creamy caramel twist.
- Kid-Friendly Version - Skip the alcohol and blend Nutella, milk and a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a special chocolate Easter milkshake - served in cocktail glasses too, of course!
How To Make A Chocolate Easter Cocktail
Note: Scroll to the recipe card at the bottom for the ingredients quantities and full detailed method.

- Prepare cocktail ingredients: Add the Nutella, Baileys, vodka and milk to a blender or Thermomix.

- Mix until smooth: Blend on low speed until smooth and creamy.

- Add the easter egg surprise: Place one mini chocolate Easter egg into the bottom of each serving glass.

- Pour: Gently pour the chocolate cocktail over the egg.

- Serve: Serve immediately and enjoy!
- Optional - before blending, add a white chocolate rim to the glasses for extra pizzazz! Melt the white chocolate gently in the microwave. Dip the rims of your glasses into the chocolate and place in the fridge for a minute or two until set.
Recipe Tips
• Use full-cream milk for the creamiest, richest cocktail texture.
• Don't over-blend: mix only until combined to keep the cocktail smooth.
• Chill your glasses beforehand for an extra refreshing drink.
• Chocolate rim tip (optional): hold glasses upside down to let excess chocolate drip off before placing glasses in the fridge so the rim sets neatly.
• Adjust the sweetness by adding extra milk if you prefer a lighter cocktail.
• Double or triple the recipe easily for Easter parties.
• Make ahead option: Blend the cocktail and store in the fridge for up to 24 hours, then give it a quick stir before pouring into glasses and serving.
• Freezing: unsuitable to freeze as dairy and alcohol can separate when frozen.
