Pieces of chocolate slice with Turkish Delight on a chopping board.

If you love Turkish Delight, then look no further than this delicious no bake Turkish Delight Slice!! A quick and easy chocolate slice that takes just 10 minutes to prepare. Freezer-friendly and perfect for lunchboxes, parties, fetes and bake sales.

Pieces of slice made with Turkish Delight with a pink and white topping.

    It's no secret that I LOVE a no-bake slice!

They're simple to make, use basic ingredients and best of all, there's no need to turn the oven on.

Slices such as my Peppermint Chocolate Slice, Clinkers Slice, Crunchie Slice and this Turkish Delight Slice are some of the most popular no-bake slices on my website... and I think you'll absolutely love them too.

Why You're Going To Love This Recipe

I promise that my Turkish Delight Slice will become a favourite recipe in your family too!

    • Completely no-bake - you don't have to turn on the oven for this recipe! Just give it some time to chill in the fridge before slicing.
    • Basic ingredients - it contains only a handful of basic ingredients - most of which can already be found in your pantry.
    • Perfect for a party - this slice is super pretty and the perfect addition to any party table.
    • Freezer friendly - this Turkish Delight Slice freezes beautifully so you can make a batch and freeze some as a delicious 'grab and go' treat.

    What You Need

    Let's get baking!

Note: please scroll to the recipe card for the ingredient quantities and full detailed method.

All the ingredients for Turkish Delight Slice on a marble bench.
    • Turkish Delight chocolate block - I use Cadbury brand Turkish Delight Chocolate but if you can't find that particular brand then you an substitute it with a similar soft Turkish Delight filled chocolate or alternatively you could use plain milk chocolate and extra chopped up Turkish delight (either Fry's or traditional Turkish Delight).
    • plain sweet biscuits - I use Arnott's Marie Biscuits in this recipe but any plain, sweet cookies will work perfectly.
    • sweetened condensed milk - choose full fat sweetened condensed milk, not the skim version, as it won't set as firmly enough in this recipe.
    • butter - either salted or unsalted butter is fine for this recipe.
    • desiccated coconut - this is a finely grated, dried coconut that has a coarse powdery texture.
    • Turkish Delight bars - I use Fry's Turkish Delight in this recipe but a traditional Turkish Delight would work just as well.
    • white chocolate melts - use good quality chocolate melts as they melt easily. I like to use either Cadbury or Nestle brands.
    • vegetable oil - it's important to use a neutral tasting oil (such as vegetable oil or coconut oil) in this recipe so as not to effect the taste. The oil helps with swirling the colour through as well as making it easier to cut through the chocolate topping when slicing.
    • pink food colouring - use a liquid food colouring (not a powder) in this recipe.

    Expert Tips And FAQ

What chocolate can I use if I can't find Cadbury Turkish Delight?

You can substitute the Cadbury block of chocolate with a similar brand substitute of Turkish Delight filled chocolate or you can simply use any milk chocolate block and then add some extra chopped up Turkish Delight - either the Fry's brand or traditional Turkish Delight works well.

Can I use skim sweetened condensed milk for this recipe?

I recommend only using full fat sweetened condensed milk for this Turkish Delight slice as it helps the slice to set properly.

What's the best way to swirl the colouring through the melted chocolate topping?

Add a small amount of vegetable oil or coconut oil to the chocolate when melting.
Ensure you only add tiny drops of food colouring to the chocolate.
Work quickly - you don't want the chocolate to set before you swirl.
Use a skewer or a knife to swirl the food colouring through the chocolate.

How do I cut the slice neatly?

Take the slice out of the fridge for approximately 20 minutes before cutting.
Use a hot and dry knife (dip the knife in hot water and then dry completely) to score the slice.
Once the slice has been scored, press down firmly with the knife to slice all the way through.

    Storing and Freezing

Store Turkish Delight Slice in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.

      Hi Lucy,
I can't access Turkish Delight chocolate where I live (Kiwi in France!) so could you please let me know how many Fry's Turkish Delight bars (which I've had to have brought over with a friend from England!) you use in this delicious-looking slice? LOVE Turkish Delight! Many thanks and happy 2022 Christmas!

Hi Ruth, 2 regular bars will work fine. They used to be 55g each but now I think they're 49g - either way, 2 bars will work!

Hi Loopy, the coconut oil just helps to stop the chocolate from cracking once sliced (and also makes the melted chocolate easier to spread across the slice). But it is optional and you can leave it out!

This is my new go to slice. Made it for morning tea with friends and everyone wanted a copy of the recipe. It's super easy to make, taste sensational and the swirl chocolate topping gives it a professional look.

What would the 1 cup of chocolate be in grams? Is it a cup of choc bits, or a cup full when it is melted?

Hi Elliot, I've just edited it to make it a little clearer - use 250g unmelted cooking chocolate
