The recipe made on the stove top - if the warm condensed milk mix is not left to cool tastes gross! Like soggy chocolate wheetbix! Tackie & gooey on the bottom. Made in the Thermie is delicious!!! But I put my chopped malteasters in last so they are not in direct contact with the melted condensed milk etc
Bake Play Smile says
Hi Mel, thanks for your feedback! I haven't ever had that problem using the stovetop method, but if you want the Maltesers to stay crispy then definitely add them in add the last minute so stop them from melting. You can also wait for the condensed milk mixture to cool a little before adding it to the biscuits (and then stirring in the Maltesers last).
Tina O'Carroll says
Made these last night and left to set in the fridge and went to cut this morning and the chocolate bottom is more tacky and tiny bit gooey more than crispy. Where am i going wrong???
Bake Play Smile says
Hmm I really have no idea lol! Sorry that doesn't help at all! The only thing I can think of is if you used a tiny bit extra condensed milk or slightly less biscuits? It should have really firmed up overnight. That's very strange!

going to make this for school camp slice. Yum
