Thank you!!

I like this and my kids did but I feel like there was too much butter. My mixture felt very wet and maybe that’s why others say it’s not crispy. I’ll try it again with 50 grams of butter and see what happens. I have other no bake recipes that I’ve tried with and without butter and usually can’t tell the difference as the condensed milk adds enough moisture to bind it all.
Allira
Hi! First - I followed the recipe and the slice LOOKS amazing. Really beautiful!
But - it’s not crispy! It’s soft. I stored half of it in an airtight container in the fridge and froze the other half of it. Both are soft and chewy. Is there anything else I could be doing that makes the Rice Krispies go soft? I so desperately want to like this slice!
Lucy
Hi Allira, it can go quite soft and chewy for sure! As long as your rice bubbles are new that's all you can do!

Do I have to use rice krispies, ( it means buying a packet, which I’m not going to use again ). Can I use some crushed corn flakes ,???
Lucy
Hi Helen, hmm you could try that but the texture in the slice really comes from the rice crispies.
Fiona
Hiya just a quick question I made this slice on Thursday wanted to bring it to a friends house on Sunday. Followed the Recipe and everything came together very well I then set it aside in the fridge. Sunday morning I cut it up to pop on a serving platter and of course I tasted a piece and the base was chewy like stale chewy- like the Rice bubbles had been spoilt! Is it because I didn’t pop the slice in an air tight container.????
Lucy
Hi Fiona, the rice bubbles will soften over time and become slightly chewy, however I would say the stale texture is due to the slice not being in an airtight container for sure. You can also freeze it next time if you prefer. xx
