- So Quick And Easy - ready to eat in 10 minutes, even quicker with a Thermomix.
- Budget-Friendly - so much cheaper than store-bought lunchbox snacks.
- Freezer-Friendly - keep a batch in the freezer for grab-and-go snacks.
- Kids LOVE Them - a no-bake, no-fail recipe that's perfect for little hands to help with.
- Conventional or Thermomix - both methods are in the recipe card below.
4 Ingredient Milo Weet-Bix Balls Ingredients

Just four simple ingredients, plus some extra coconut or sprinkles for rolling.
- Weet-Bix - a pantry staple in most Aussie homes. You can substitute with Vita-Brits or Weeties if that's what you've got.
- Milo - a malted milk powder similar to Ovaltine or Horlicks. If you're out, swap it for Ovaltine, cocoa powder or cacao powder instead.
Variations
- Nut and coconut-free - swap the desiccated coconut for the same weight in extra crushed Weet-Bix, great for kinder or school snack lists.
- Extra chocolatey - swap the Milo for cocoa or cacao powder if that's what you have on hand, or just prefer a stronger chocolate hit.
- Different coating - roll the finished balls in extra Milo, cocoa or leave them plain instead of coconut or sprinkles.
- Bigger batch - this recipe doubles easily if you want a bigger lunchbox stash or you're making them for a party.
How To Make 4 Ingredient Milo Weet-Bix Balls
Just crush, mix and roll and they're ready to eat.
Note: Scroll to the recipe card at the bottom for the ingredient quantities and full detailed method.

- Step 1: Crush and mix. Blitz the Weet-Bix in a food processor or Thermomix until they resemble fine crumbs, then add the Milo, coconut and condensed milk and mix until well combined.

- Step 2: Roll into balls. Use your hands to roll the mixture into heaped teaspoon-sized balls, as big or small as you like.

- Step 3: Coat and chill. Toss the balls in sprinkles or coconut until well coated, then pop them in the fridge to firm up (or dig in straight away).
Recipe Tips
- Use a food processor or Thermomix if you have one - it makes crushing the Weet-Bix quick work, but a rolling pin does the job too.
- This mixture makes about 30 balls - I use heaped teaspoonfuls for a nice sized snack.
- If the mixture feels a bit dry - add a teaspoon or two of water to help it come together and hold its shape when rolled.
- Storage - keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week, that's if they don't get eaten first!
- Freezing - freeze in an airtight container for up to 2 months, perfect for a grab-and-go snack that'll be thawed by recess time.

4 Ingredient Milo Weet-Bix Balls FAQs
Yes, you can substitute the Milo with Ovaltine, or either cocoa powder or cacao powder, depending on what you have and how strong you want the chocolate flavour.
Simply substitute the desiccated coconut for the same weight in extra crushed Weet-Bix. It works a treat and keeps the balls just as easy to roll.
Add a teaspoon or two of water and mix again. This usually happens if your Weet-Bix crumbs are a little coarse or your condensed milk tin was slightly under.
Yes! Freeze them in an airtight container for up to 2 months. They're perfect for a grab-and-go snack that will be thawed by the time recess or lunchtime rolls around.
Regular condensed milk can't be swapped for a butter alternative, but a coconut condensed milk works well if you need a dairy-free option.

I made this into a slice as it wouldn’t roll into balls LOL… I put in a squared tin on baking paper and flattened out, places in fridge until set. Then I was a little naughty and added some melted chocolate on the top, allowed to set and cut up into bite size pieces. I stored in an airtight container in the fridge, lasted 2 days until all gone haha. 6 person family, was a hit!

My friend made these and they were amazing. Thank-you for making up this recipe. I see you have the nutritional info which is brilliant. It doesn't say, that I can see, the serving size. How many balls can we eat for that many calories please.
Thank-you again Helen.
Lucy says
Hi Helen, thank you so much for your lovely comment! The serving size is for 1 ball 🙂
Cherie says
I really really don’t like rolling balls. Could I make this as a slice? Thanks.
