The ULTIMATE Thermomix ANZAC Biscuits with the perfect combination of a sweet, chewy inside and golden, crunchy edges. Made from a handful of basic ingredients and ready to eat in just 20 minutes, these classic biscuits are an all-time favourite in Australian households.
ANZAC Biscuits are always a popular biscuit tin filler in our house. They're perfect for school lunchboxes or an afternoon tea treat with a cuppa.
For years I made ANZACS using my classic and conventional ANZAC biscuit recipe... but then I discovered how much quicker and easier it was to make them in my Thermomix. Game changer!
You'll be eating a batch of chewy-on-the-inside and crunchy-on-the-outside Thermomix ANZAC biscuits in just 20 minutes.
Why You're Going To Love Making ANZAC Biscuits In Your Thermomix
The Thermomix makes whipping up a batch of ANZAC biscuits SO incredibly easy:
- Suitable For All Thermomix Models - My Thermomix ANZAC Biscuit recipe can be made using any of the Thermomix models - including the TM31, TM5 and the TM6.
- One Bowl - Forget about washing up! The entire ANZAC dough is prepared in the Thermomix bowl.
- Double Batch - You can easily make a double batch of the ANZAC biscuit mixture in your Thermomix.
- Great Recipe For Kids - My son absolutely LOVES making ANZAC biscuits in the Thermomix. It's a simple enough recipe for even young children and toddlers to help with.
What You Need
The best thing about Thermomix ANZAC Biscuits is that they're made from pantry and fridge staple ingredients... meaning you probably have everything you need already!
Note: Scroll to the recipe card at the bottom for the ingredients quantities and full detailed method.
- Butter - you can use either salted or unsalted butter in ANZAC biscuits. Ensure you chop the butter into small chunks before placing into the Thermomix (this helps with melting).
- Golden Syrup - a very popular baking ingredient in Australia and New Zealand. This sweet, sticky syrup can be replaced with rice malt syrup.
- Brown Sugar - this gives the Thermomix ANZAC biscuits their sweet, caramel flavour.
- Bi-Carbonate of Soda - also known as baking soda. This make the biscuits rise.
- Rolled Oats - classic old fashioned rolled oats give ANZACS the best texture. However, you can also use quick oats if you prefer.
- Plain Flour - also known as all-purpose flour.
- Desiccated Coconut - some ANZAC biscuit recipes use shredded coconut, however, I personally prefer the texture of desiccated coconut. You can use desiccated or shredded coconut depending on your preference (and what you have at home).
Equipment
Your Thermomix machine makes preparing ANZAC biscuit dough SO easy!
- Thermomix Machine - this Thermomix ANZAC Biscuit recipe can be made using any of the Thermomix models - TM31, TM5 and TM6.
- Oven - I specify temperatures using a fan-forced oven. Add 10 degrees celsius if using a conventional oven.

Simply roll into tablespoon sized balls and place onto flat baking trays.

FAQ
Yes! My Thermomix ANZAC Biscuits recipe is suitable for use in all Thermomix machine models - the TM31, TM5 and TM6.
The Reverse function on the Thermomix machine makes the blades move in reverse and therefore, the blunt edge is used rather than the sharp edge. This function is used for mixing, as compared to chopping. I recommend using the Reverse function when mixing through the dry ingredients as it stops the rolled oats from being chopped into a fine powder and instead keeps them whole and retains their chewy texture.
Absolutely! For crunchy biscuits, simply cook them for 12-15 minutes rather than 10-12 minutes.
