Why You're Going To Love This Recipe
- Super creamy - this dip is made with Philadelphia cream cheese, so it's super luscious and creamy. You can use a 'light' version if you prefer, although for rich and creamy at its very best, go for the full fat version!
- Cheesy - cheddar or tasty cheese is used in this recipe, so the dip has a lovely cheesy flavour with a tiny hint of bite!
- Slightly sweet, slightly spicy - the sweet chilli sauce gives the dip a bit of spice while keeping it kid-friendly. If you want more spice, you can use a hot chilli sauce to taste.
- Easy to make - cream cheese dip is so very easy to make. It can be made in a Thermomix or just by using a bowl and spoon.
- Quick and easy - ready in just 5 minutes!
What You Need
A few simple store bought ingredients and 5 minutes to prep - and you're ready to go!
Note: Please scroll to the recipe card at the bottom for ingredient quantities and the full detailed method.
- Cream cheese - softened to room temperature. I prefer Philadelphia cream cheese for this recipe, but I'm sure other brands are just as suitable if you can't find this one.
- Cheddar cheese - or a variety of tasty. I prefer to freshly grate a block of cheese, but you can use store-bought shredded if you choose.
- Mayonnaise - I recommend a whole egg mayonaise.
- Sweet chili sauce - homemade or store-bought is fine.
- Spring onions - fresh, finely chopped.

FAQ's
No heating is required. You can eat cream cheese directly from the package, or use it in cheesecakes and other baking, even spread on a sandwich. Just make sure to use it, or freeze it, before the expiry date listed on the package.
Philadelphia is the most well-known cream cheese brand since it is sold worldwide and typically has the word "cream cheese" on the packaging. Still, some of it now comes in plastic resealable containers labelled as a "cream cheese spread" - which is just that! Spreadable cream cheese is perfect for spreading on sandwiches or crackers.
Cream cheese should be eaten within ten days of being opened.
