If you're a chocoholic then you've come to the right place! This is the quickest and easiest microwave fudge recipe EVER... and it's made with Maltesers!!!! It doesn't get any better than that. And did I mention that it will take you just a couple of minutes to make!??

    Ingredients For Microwave Malteser Fudge

Can you believe this recipe needs only 3 ingredients!? Just 3!!!!

Note: Scroll to the recipe card at the bottom for the ingredients quantities and full detailed method.

    • Dark chocolate - the higher the % of cocoa the harder the fudge will set - chocolate melts will set to a soft fudge.
    • Sweetened condensed milk - always use full fat sweetened condensed milk - not skim as it won't set firm enough.
    • Maltesers - or any malted milk balls like Whoppers.

How To Make Malteser Fudge In The Microwave

After making fudge in the microwave, I will never, ever go back to making fudge on the stovetop. Microwave fudge recipes are SO easy and they take just a few minutes!

The 2 basic ingredients for a microwave fudge recipe are: chocolate and sweetened condensed milk. That's it!! And then it's just a matter of flavouring the fudge with all the yummy add-ins (like Baileys Irish Cream, Oreo cookies, cranberries and pistachios, or Tim Tam biscuits!)

Note: Scroll to the recipe card at the bottom for the ingredients quantities and full detailed method.

Step 1 - Melt Chocolate And Condensed Milk

To make our Microwave Malteser Fudge, you simply melt the dark chocolate and sweetened condensed milk in the microwave until melted (*see printable recipe card below for temperatures and cooking time).

    Step 2 - Add Maltesers

Stir through half of the Maltesers.

Step 3 - Press Into Baking Tin

Press into a lined baking dish.

Step 4 - Add More Maltesers

Sprinkle over the remaining Maltesers and pop into the fridge to set. It's just that easy!!!

    How To Store Homemade Fudge

This is a soft fudge recipe and therefore needs to be stored in the refrigerator until you're ready to serve it. It can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 weeks.

    Ingredients

    • 500 g dark cooking chocolate (see notes)
    • 395 g sweetened condensed milk
    • 250 g Maltesers
    Metric - US Customary

    Instructions

    Conventional Method

    • Grease and line a 20cm x 20cm square cake tin with baking paper and set aside.
    • Place the sweetened condensed milk and dark chocolate into a microwave-safe bowl. Melt on 50% power for 2-3 minutes or until melted. Stir well.
    • Spread the fudge mixture into the prepared tin and press the Maltesers on top.
    • Place into the fridge for 3-4 hours or until set, before cutting into pieces.

    Thermomix Method

    • Grease and line a 20cm x 20cm square cake tin with baking paper and set aside.
    • Break chocolate into pieces and grate on Speed 8, 10 seconds. Set aside.
    • Place the sweeteend condensed milk into the Thermomix bowl and heat for 5 minutes, 100 degrees, Speed 3.
    • Add the grated chocolate and heat for 3 minutes, 80 degrees, Speed 4.
    • Spread the fudge mixture into the prepared tin and press the Maltesers on top.
    • Place into the fridge for 3-4 hours or until set, before cutting into pieces.

    Notes

    RECIPE NOTES
    • Chocolate - The higher the cocoa % in the dark chocolate, the harder the fudge will set. If using dark chocolate melts, this will set to a soft fudge consistency. If using a high cocoa % dark chocolate, it will set slightly firmer.
    • Maltesers - I used Maltesers for this recipe which are chocolate coated malted milk balls. You can use any brand you like (such as Whoppers).
    • Microwave - cooking time will vary slightly depending on the wattage of your microwave. Cook the chocolate and sweetened condensed milk on 50% power for 2-3 minutes or until completely melted.
    • Storage - As this fudge is soft, it needs to be kept in the fridge. It can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 weeks.
