Smooth Caramilk chocolate and condensed milk combine to make the creamiest, dreamiest 2-ingredient fudge you’ve ever tried! Utterly rich and indulgent, it is made in the microwave in only 5 minutes and makes a perfect, bite-sized treat for gifting over the holidays.

When it comes to microwave fudge recipes, it doesn’t get much easier than this creamy and decadent Caramilk fudge! It is perfect for morning or afternoon tea or a bite-sized treat when you’re sitting on the couch at night and just *NEED* something sweet!

The best thing about it (aside from its AMAZING flavour!) is that it only requires two very simple ingredients to make - condensed milk and Caramilk chocolate. There are no special techniques or candy thermometers required. A bowl, a spoon and a microwave are all you will need!

You simply melt the ingredients together in the microwave, stir, set and slice. The hardest part is waiting for it to set before you can get your hands on a piece (or two)!

It also makes the perfect edible gift. Just like this caramel fudge and Baileys chocolate fudge, you can easily make a larger batch over the holidays or for special events when you need to have little gifts for family, friends and colleagues.

Why You're Going To Love This Recipe

    • Quick and easy – you only need a couple of minutes of hands-on time. And it’s such an easy, fool-proof recipe to follow.
    • Deliciously rich and chewy – it is impossible to stop at one piece!
    • No mess – you’ll only have one bowl and one spoon to clean up after.
    • Stores well – keep it in the fridge for up to 3-4 weeks for easy snacking, any time.
    • Last minute gift – a perfect homemade gift for Christmas, Easter, birthdays and work events - it is easy to throw together at the last minute and every well deserving chocoholic loves it!

    What You Need

This easy fudge is made with just 2 simple ingredients.

Note: Please scroll to the recipe card at the bottom for ingredient quantities and the full detailed method.

    • Caramilk chocolate – is a type of golden, caramelised white chocolate made famous by Cadbury that is insanely popular in Australia and New Zealand. It has a smooth, creamy caramel flavour that is completely irresistible! It can be purchased from any major supermarket in Australia or New Zealand. But if it isn't available where you live, you can use any variety of caramelised white chocolate, or swap for white chocolate instead. The chocolate is what sets the fudge, so I don't recommend reducing the quantities.
    • Sweetened condensed milk – makes the fudge super creamy and delicious. Use full-fat, full-sugar, regular condensed milk for this recipe (not evaporated milk).

    Step By Step Instructions

I just LOVE how easy it is to make fudge in the microwave.

Just 2 simple steps and a few minutes of prep is all you need!

Note: Please scroll to the recipe card at the bottom of the post for ingredient quantities and the full detailed method.

    Step 1 - Microwave

Place the Caramilk chocolate pieces and the condensed milk into a microwave safe bowl.

Melt the mixture at 50% power for 2-3 minutes, stirring each 30 seconds (or until melted). Stir until the fudge mixture is combined and smooth.

Step 2 - Add To Tin

Working very quickly, spread the fudge mixture into the prepared tin. Place into the fridge for 2 hours or until set, before cutting into pieces.

**For a smooth consistency and nice shape, it is important to add the 2 ingredient fudge mixture to the tin immediately after stirring, as it will start to harden and set right away.

    Expert Tips & FAQs

    Line your pan!

Line your cake tin with baking paper. This will help to prevent the fudge from sticking to the base and will assist you in removing it from the pan when it is ready.

Keep an eye on the mixture as it cooks.

Cooking times will vary slightly depending on the wattage of your microwave. Melt the Caramilk chocolate and sweetened condensed milk on 50% power for 2-3 minutes, stirring each 30 seconds, or until completely melted. Be careful not to over-cook it or it will become grainy. Stop cooking once the mixture is melted and combined.

    Work quickly.

The fudge starts to set as it cools. So once the mixture is smooth and completely combined, transfer it to the lined tin as quickly as possible.

    How to store fudge.

As this 2 ingredient fudge remains a little soft, it needs to be kept in the fridge. Store it in an airtight container for 3-4 weeks - if it lasts that long!

    Can you freeze fudge?

Yes, fudge can be frozen. Freeze it whole in a slab, or cut into pieces and wrap it in some baking paper before adding it to an airtight container and freezing. Keep it in the freezer for up to 2 months.

    Try some add-ins!

The great thing about this recipe is that you can add any mix-ins to the mixture before spreading it into the tin! Try adding some crushed pretzels, nuts, chocolate chips, chopped candy bars, jersey caramels or even top it with sprinkles or some extra chocolate.
