Ok are these not the cuuuuutest things ever!!! I know I’m a total sucker for anything cute, but really, these Tiny Teddy Christmas Candy Cane Sleighs are just a whole-lotta cuteness wrapped up. I think I’m in love! And on a side note, can I just say that I am absolutely hanging out for when our bub-to-be has end-of-year class parties so that I have an excuse to make things like this ALL THE TIME (and yes, I know I’m getting ahead of myself and that’s still about 6 years away, but hey).

I’ve made a lot of Tiny Teddy Racing Cars for baby showers before and they’re such a simple but clever idea for party food. And so this Christmas, I decided to change things up a bit and make little sleighs instead. They’re still just as easy, but are totally Christmassy!

To make the little Tiny Teddy Christmas Candy Cane Sleighs, you will need:

  • candy canes
  • Tiny Teddies
  • treat-size Milky Ways
  • mini M&Ms
  • pretzels
  • melted chocolate for ‘gluing’

Making the Tiny Teddy Sleighs is really just a matter of a few super easy steps. Start off by ‘gluing’ one mini M&M onto each Tiny Teddy to resemble the nose. Cut a tiny slit with a knife in the middle of each Milky Way. Dip the bottom of each Tiny Teddy into the melted chocolate and then lightly press into the top of the Milky Way (the Tiny Teddy doesn’t need to go right in – the melted chocolate will help to keep it in place).

Spread melted chocolate along a 2cm section of each candy cane (approximately half to two-thirds of the way down). Place the Milky Ways onto the melted chocolate and hold in place until set. Dip the ends of two tiny pieces of pretzel (and I mean TINY!), into the melted chocolate and hold onto the top of the Tiny Teddy’s ears until they have set. And that’s it my friends! The cutest, easiest, most crazy-simple little Christmas treats ever.

Now that I’ve written this post, I’m thinking that my pre-baby-cluckiness is coming out in my cooking! In the last two weeks I’ve made Christmas marshmallow pops and 5 minute Christmas cookie baubles. Hmm – all very kiddie-friendly Christmas party food!

What kid-friendly Christmas party food do you like to make? And are you like me and get completely sucked in by anything cute!!!???

Ingredients

  • 24 candy canes
  • 12 treat-size Milky Ways
  • 12 Tiny Teddies
  • 12 mini M&Ms
  • 24 small pretzel pieces
  • 100 g milk chocolate melted

Instructions

  • Lay each of the Tiny Teddies out flat on a tray or chopping board.
  • 'Glue' one mini M&M onto each Tiny Teddy to resemble the nose.
  • Cut a tiny slit with a knife in the middle of each Milky Way.

  • Spread melted chocolate along a 2cm section of each candy cane (approximately half to two-thirds of the way down) - I like to do this one sleigh at a time so that the chocolate doesn't set too quickly.

  • Dip the ends of two tiny pretzel pieces into the melted chocolate and hold onto the top of the Tiny Teddy's ears until they have set.
