There's no better weekend breakfast treat than a batch of fluffy and delicious pancakes smothered in maple syrup and dripping with butter. YUM!

My Thermomix pancakes are SO incredibly fluffy and soft - you're going to absolutely LOVE them!

Plus, they're so simple to prepare in the Thermomix, the kids will be able to get in on the fun too!

Why You're Going To LOVE Making Pancakes In Your Thermomix

The Thermomix makes preparing pancake batter an absolute breeze... just one bowl and 2 simple steps!

    • Quick & Easy - preparing the pancake batter in the Thermomix takes just 3 minutes! Simply melt the butter, add the remaining ingredients and mix.
    • Soft & Fluffy - forget about dense, hard pancakes... my recipe makes BIG, FLUFFY and SOFT pancakes that taste amazing!
    • Prepare Ahead of Time - pancake batter can be prepared and stored for 2-4 days in the fridge before using. Perfect for busy mornings (or if you have leftover pancake batter from the morning before!).
    • Add your Favourite Toppings - serve these delicious Thermomix pancakes on their own, or add any of your favourite toppings. See below for some of my favourite serving suggestions.

    What You Need

Just a handful of basic ingredients are needed to make my Thermomix pancake recipe.

Note: Scroll to the recipe card at the bottom for the ingredients quantities and full detailed method.

    The ingredients for fluffy pancakes.
    • Butter - I recommend using unsalted butter in this recipe as there is a pinch of salt in the ingredients. Alternatively, use salted butter and omit the extra pinch of salt.
    • Plain Flour - also known as all-purpose flour.
    • Caster Sugar - also known as superfine sugar. This fine, white sugar is perfect for pancakes as it dissolves when mixed and baked.
    • Baking Powder & Bi-Carbonate soda (Baking Soda) - these are the rising agents in the pancakes are are what makes them SO soft and fluffy!!!
    • Salt - omit if using salted butter.
    • Milk - use full cream milk for the best results (not light or skim).
    • Vanilla Extract - or vanilla essence.
    • Egg - bring the egg to room temperature before using.

    Equipment Required

Simply prepare the pancake batter in your Thermomix machine and then cook on the stove-top.

    • Thermomix machine - this recipe is suitable for use in all Thermomix models - the TM31, TM5 and TM6.
    • Frying pan - use a large non-stick frying pan.
    • Stove-top - use a medium to low heat to ensure the pancakes don't overcook.

    Expert Tips

Prepare the batter ahead of time

Pancake batter can be prepared the day before and stored in the fridge for 2-4 days. This is a great option for making ahead of time (or using up leftover batter).

    Storing

Store cooked pancakes in an airtight container for 2 days, or wrap in foil and store in the fridge for up to 4 days.

    Reheating

Preheat the oven to 170 degrees celsius and place the pancakes onto a flat baking tray. Cook for a few minutes or until reheated through.

    Freezing

Pancakes are best served immediately. However, they can be frozen for up to 1 month in an airtight container. Defrost in the fridge and then reheat as per the instructions above.
