Substitutes For Arnott's Tim Tams
Tim Tams are an iconic Australian cookie made by Arnott's. If you are unable to buy them, you can substitute them with any other white chocolate coated cookie. For something a little different, you could use Oreos in place of the Tim Tams (this will give you a beautifully dense chocolatey flavour).

Crush white chocolate Tim Tams until they resemble fine crumbs.
Mix Tim Tam crumbs with the cream cheese and Baileys Irish Cream liqueur. Place into the freezer to harden.
Roll into balls and place back into the freezer.
Coat the balls in melted chocolate and refrigerate.
More Cheesecake Ball Recipes
Once you've made these cheeky little boozy balls, you're going to want to make them again and again... or you could mix it up with one of these yummy recipes:
Absolutely! I generally use Philadelphia (Philly) full fat cream cheese but you can use any brand you like.
I can't buy Tim Tams where I live! What can I substitute them for?
You can substitute them with any other white chocolate coated cookie. Or for a rich chocolate flavour, you could use chocolate Oreos.
Do I need to chill the mixture first?
Yes, once you've prepared the mixture, chill it in the freezer (or fridge) for 30 minutes. This will allow it to harden enough to roll into balls. The heat from your hands will make the balls sticky when you roll them, so it's important to place the rolled balls back into the freezer (or fridge) for a further 30 minutes before dipping them in the melted chocolate.
Can I leave the Baileys out or substitute it?
Yes! You can omit it entirely or you can substitute it for a different liqueur (such as Kahlua).
How long will Baileys Tim Tam Cheesecake Balls last?
The balls can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days (although they'll never last that long!).
Can I use sweetened condensed milk instead of cream cheese?

Notes
RECIPE NOTESTim Tam substitutes - Tim Tams are an Australian cookie made by Arnott's. If you are unable to buy them, you can substitute them with any other white chocolate coated cookie. For something a little different, you could use Oreos in place of the Tim Tams (this will give you a beautifully dense chocolatey flavour).Adults-only dessert - this recipe is made using Baileys Irish cream and therefore contains alcohol. Cream cheese - I recommend using full fat cream cheese for this recipe. I generally use Philly (Philadelphia brand) but you can use any brand you like. Chilling the mixture - once you’ve prepared the mixture, chill it in the freezer (or fridge) for 30 minutes. This will allow it to harden enough to roll into balls. The heat from your hands will make the balls sticky when you roll them, so it’s important to place the rolled balls back into the freezer (or fridge) for a further 30 minutes before dipping them in the melted chocolate. Baileys substitutes - you can substitute the Baileys Irish cream for a different alcohol such as Kahlua. Or for a non-alchohlic version, you could replace the Baileys with coffee, or omit the liquid entirely.Storing the cheesecake balls - store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
I know that this sounds like a crazy question to you but I am from the US and I am trying to convert this recipe. I have one question-- what is a TM bowl?
Thank you so much. This recipe sounds yummy
I have made these before and they are amazing. My question is would I be able to freeze them once made? I need to make some for my daughters 21st but with everything else I have to do as well was wondering if they could be made in advance and frozen?
Hi Judy, thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed them. Yes I think you would be fine to freeze them (in an airtight container). You could also roll the mixture into balls and freeze that, and then dip them in chocolate on the day.
I used white chocolate Kit Kats and they are amazing!! I can't wait to see the smiles these little treats will inspire. Although the cheesecake Kit Kats that are sold at my local Asian market were sold out, that was my first choice since the moment I read this recipe. TY

Hi Barb, just ignore the TM bit (it stands for Thermomix - which is a kitchen appliance). You can just use a food processor instead. 🙂
