FAQs
All your fruit tingle cocktail questions answered!
A fruit tingle cocktail is made in a high ball glass filled with ice cubes. Vodka, Blue Curacao and lemonade are poured over the ice. To finish, a splash of red cordial is added, which turns the blue cocktail into shades of blue and purple.
Traditionally, the glasses are then garnished with a maraschino cherry and a wedge of fresh pineapple.
It was invented in Australia in the 1960s. It was a throwback to the lollies of the same name... with the same sweet, fruity and fizzy flavours.
The name originates from the small fizzy lollies of the same name (popular in Australia). The cocktail is called either a fruit tingle or a blue tingle as it is blue in colour, and just like a fruit tingle lolly, it's fizzy, fruity and sweet.
