    Serving Suggestions

Tzatziki is such a versatile dip and complements SO many different foods:

    • Veggie sticks - chop carrot, cucumber, celery and capsicum into strips and serve with tzatziki for a super healthy snack.
    • Grilled meats - the perfect dip for grilled chicken, lamb, beef or pork.
    • Salads - such as roasted vegetable salad or couscous salad
    • Greek Pizza - dollop onto the top of Greek lamb pizza - delicious!
    • Mezze platter - serve with cheeses, roasted vegetables and breadsticks for nibbles!
    • Breads - naan or pita bread are delicious dipped into tzatziki.
Cucumber, dill and mint yoghurt dip in a bowl surrounded by wholemeal crackers.

    Expert Tips

    • Use fresh herbs - for best results, use fresh (not dried) mint and dill.
    • Choose a good quality Greek yoghurt - thick, plain full fat Greek yoghurt is best for this recipe (such as Jalna or Tamar Valley).
    • Strain the excess liquid - it's important to strain the excess liquid from the cucumber once chopped otherwise the dip can be too watery. I place it onto paper towel and squeeze out all the liquid.
    • Serving - tzatziki is delicious served with veggie sticks, crackers, burgers, naan bread, pita bread, grilled meats, chicken skewers, mezze platter, roasted vegetable salad or couscous salad.
    • Storage - store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
    • Freezing - this recipe is not suitable for freezing.
