Place the dates, strawberry fruit spread and cocoa powder into a food processor or Thermomix and blend on high until the mixture resembles a paste.Scrape down the sides of the bowl.
Add the almonds and press pulse/turbo several times until your desired texture is achieved.
Place the desiccated coconut into a small bowl or ramekin.
Roll the mixture into tablespoon sized balls and toss in the coconut to coat.
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.

Dates - you can use either dried and pitted dates or medjool dates in this recipe. If using medjool dates, you may need to add extra almonds as they have a soft, moist texture when compared to dried pitted dates.
Almonds - you can use either raw almonds or roasted almonds for this recipe. I generally use raw almonds.
Desiccated coconut - this is a fine, dry coconut that is perfect for coating the bliss balls in.
