RECIPE NOTES & TIPS
- Nutritional info is based on using frozen bananas only (and does not include optional add-ins).
- Peel and chop your bananas into pieces before freezing - if using a Thermomix, you can break the bananas in half. If you're using a food processor or blender, slice them into smaller (2cm) pieces.
- Freeze the bananas for at least 1-2 hours - best is overnight. Whenever we have overripe bananas in the fruit bowl, I pop them in the freezer... ready to go for healthy ice cream!
- Add any of your favourite add-ins to make your own flavours of ice cream.
- This recipe can be doubled or tripled - you'll simply need to increase the mixing time.
- Serve immediately for the best soft-serve style creamy ice cream.
- Store any leftovers in the freezer - remove from the freezer and allow to soften for a few minutes before eating.
- Don't have a Thermomix? You can use a food processor or blender instead!
