Notes

RECIPE NOTES & TIPS
  • You'll know that the Big Mac casserole is cooked through when the cheese is melted and golden and the egg is cooked in the centre of the dish.
  • Freezing - freeze any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 months.
  • Storing - store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
  • Dill cucumbers are readily available in the jarred vegetable section of the supermarket (near the sun-dried tomatoes, capers etc). They are also known as pickles or gherkins.
  • You can use any variety of sweet pickle relish or sweet mustard pickles you like.
  • If you don't want to make your own Big Mac burger sauce, you can use a store-bought copycat style special burger sauce (such as Heinz, Praise, or supermarkets own brands).
  • Serve like a Big Mac with lettuce... or add any of your favourite salad ingredients (such as avocado, tomato, cucumber etc).
