RECIPE NOTES & TIPS
INGREDIENTS:
  • Burger buns - choose hamburger buns or soft brioche buns.
  • Burger sauce - you can use any brand of burger sauce you like (I used Coles Special Burger Sauce). You can also use tomato sauce, BBQ sauce, caramelised onion or mustard sauce instead.
  • Burger fillings - I use lettuce, sliced tomato, cheese slices and pickles - but you can substitute with any of your other favourite burger filling.

OTHER TIPS:
  • Cooking - the patties can be cooked in a frying pan or on a BBQ grill.
  • Prep ahead of time - the burgers can be prepared ahead of time and stored (covered with plastic wrap) in the fridge for up to 2 days before cooking.
  • Storing - store any leftover cooked patties in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
  • Freezing - you can freeze cooked or uncooked beef patties in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 months. If freezing uncooked patties, place a sheet of baking (parchment paper) between each patty to stop them sticking to one another. Defrost in the fridge overnight before cooking or reheating.
