Healthy Oat & Date Slice


For this recipe you'll need:  pitted dates, water, bi-carbonate or soda, oats, chia seeds, honey, dark chocolate, and a mixture of sunflower seeds, linseeds, and almonds.

Simmer the Dates

Place the chopped dates into a saucepan with the water. Simmer for approximately 15 minutes or until softened and the consistency has started to thicken. Add the bi-carb soda and stir to combine (it will froth up).

Make the Mixture

Add the rolled oats, chia seeds, LSA and honey to the dates and stir to combine. If the slice is a little too dry or wet, simply add more oats or water. Press the mixture firmly into the slice tin.


Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until slightly golden and firm to the touch. Allow to cool in the tray.
