Easy Nut Caramel Slice (most popular!)

The easiest Nut Caramel Slice you’ll ever make! Simply pour a can of condensed milk over a sweet base topped with mixed nuts. That’s it!

Nut Caramel Slice

I’ve always loved a traditional caramel slice – it’s honestly just so hard to beat. But sometimes it’s nice to mix things up a little… which is exactly what this Nut Caramel Slice is. A yummy variation on a traditional caramel slice!

Nut Caramel Slice

So you know how when you make a caramel slice, you have to stir the caramel over the stovetop for a while? While you can kiss goodbye to that step in this easy slice. There’s no standing and stirring… instead you simply pour the tin of condensed milk over the top of the nuts before baking. Umm, how easy is that!

Nut Caramel Slice

This Nut Caramel Slice has a really simple base which is the perfect partner to the nutty-caramel topping. In this recipe, I used a combination of peanuts, almonds and pecans, but you can use absolutely any nuts you like. I personally prefer the taste of nuts that have been toasted or roasted, but it’s absolutely fine (and delicious) if you don’t buy those varieties – the nuts will get a lovely roasted flavour during baking anyway.

If you’d like to cut this slice into perfect little pieces, then I highly recommend cooking it the day before you need it, and popping it into the fridge overnight. If you’re not too fussed, then a couple of hours in the fridge will do the trick.

Nut Caramel Slice

I honestly have to tell you that this Nut Caramel Slice is definitely testing my love for my usual caramel slice recipe. I just adore the whole ‘no-fuss’ caramel method that’s used in this version. Love, love, love!!!

If you’re after a new recipe to try then definitely give this one a whirl. It was a total winner in our house!
