Chocolate Honeycomb Caramello Slice - completely no-bake and totally delicious! This super simple slice is a yummy variation on my classic Caramello Slice.

Slice pieces filled with chopped chocolate honeycomb and a layer of chocolate on top

Almost two years ago I shared one of my very favourite recipes on this wee little blog. It was for a no-bake Chocolate Caramello Slice. And it turns out that I wasn't the only one who loved it. Yep, to this day, that yummy little slice is still one of the most popular recipes on here. Which is totally AMAZING considering how incredibly easy it is!

Chocolate topped slice pieces piled on each other showing chunks of chocolate honeycomb inside.

Anyway, a while ago I decided to have a little experiment with my fave slice... well to be honest, I was seriously craving chocolate and we had a block of Caramello chocolate in the cupboard AND a bag of chocolate honeycomb pieces - and my greedy guts tummy told me to combine the two and make a yummy new slice. Clearly, my tummy won and so became this ridiculously good Chocolate Honeycomb Caramello Slice.

Chopped chocolate honeycomb pieces next to pieces of a chocolate honeycomb sliceThis slice has the same delicious base as the original, but with the addition of 100g of chopped chocolate honeycomb. I highly recommend chopping about 150g so that you can nibble as you go. Well, thats how things roll in my kitchen anyway.

Once the base is prepared and pressed into a slice tin, it's simply a matter of spreading over a melted chocolate layer (it's a great idea to add a bit of coconut oil to your chocolate to help it spread easier - definitely not 100% necessary... but honestly, it really helps!).

This time I also added in a few swirls of white chocolate by blobbing (is that the word!?) it onto the melted milk chocolate and swirling it through with a skewer. Again, SOOOO not compulsory, but it is a bit pretty, right!?

Cut pieces of chocolate honeycomb in front of a stack of slice pieces

Then it's just a matter of popping this baby into the fridge and waiting, waiting, waiting (very impatiently if you're anything like me!). Once the slice has set, cut it into pieces and store in an airtight container in the fridge. Abso-freakin'-delicious! PS. If you want really neat little slices, leave it in the fridge overnight before cutting (or check out these handy tips!).

So, it turns out that you really can improve on an already fabulous slice. And the big secret? Umm... just add chocolate honeycomb!!!

What is caramello chocolate, don't think I've seen that here in the UK.

Hi Lorraine, it's a caramel-liquid filled block of chocolate (Cadbury makes it here in Australia). xx
