It’s the middle of winter which means that there’s a whole lot of people out there suffering from man-flu/woman-flu at the moment! If thats you, then why not try my Pomegranate Power Smoothie which is guaranteed to have you jumping off the couch, going for a run and feeling pretty fabulous about life (haha not really, but it can’t hurt!!).
Whenever I have any extra fruit lying around, I always pop it into the freezer so that it’s ready to go for smoothies. It’s the best way to use up fruit that’s too ripe or nearing the end of it’s life! It’s also great for when you want a quick and easy breakfast or afternoon snack… simple grab out the fruit you want, pop it all into a blender or Thermomix and off you go.
My Pomegranate Power Smoothie was packed with pomegranates (obviously!), banana and mixed berries. I also added a tiny amount of honey and of course, some milk. Sometimes I like to use a mix of yoghurt and milk as it makes it even creamier! I like my smoothies nice and thick, but if you prefer more of a milkshake texture, then just add in a bit more milk.
